Centre for Population Change on BBC Breakfast Friday 16 January

Published: 15 January 2015

Social Sciences staff from the University’s Centre for Population Change (CPC) will appear on BBC Breakfast on Friday morning (16 January) to discuss the issues around life expectancy and living longer.

Professor Jane Falkingham, Director of the Centre and Dean of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences, will be at The Lowry arts venue in Manchester to be interviewed against the backdrop of the exhibition ‘How to get to 100 and enjoy it’ that went UK-wide in late 2014. The interviews are part of a series of special features in which BBC Breakfast is exploring the changing attitudes to old age and what society with a growing number of older people means for us all.

Interviews with the CPC are anticipated at 06:50 and 07:50 with an extended portion of the programme devoted to the subject after 08:35 (broadcast times are subject to change without notice).
