The School of Ocean and Earth Science holds a large Geology Collection. Images from the fossil collection are available on-line, including organised sets used in our teaching programmes.

The on-line rock and mineral collection is a library of images from the SOES Geology Collection. It includes online quizes and teaching sets for students.

The multi-use aquarium has a variety of tanks and facilities for keeping and handling live specimens. The collection changes regularly to the needs of students and research staff.

The National Oceanographic Library is a national resource for the UK marine science community; a commercial Marine Information and Advisory Service as well as a library which serves all staff and students at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton.
