Topological twists of space-time in black holes

Virtual or real black holes should be fully incorporated in any theory of quantum gravity. Demanding unitarity in their evolution laws without violating General Relativity leads to new topological twists near the horizon. We find that Hilbert space receives no contributions from particles in the "interior" of a black hole, or more concisely: quantum black holes have no interior.
