The teaching timetable structures the entire student learning experience and our primary commitment is to support the delivery of that experience at the highest levels of quality. The Curriculum and Timetabling Team works in partnership to manage the processes that lead to the production of teaching timetables.

Student Records Administration

Records

Student Records Administration covers a wide range of activities from registration on optional modules to student transfer, withdrawal and suspension. Registry Services provide guidance and support across this range of processes to ensure that records in the Banner Student Records System accurately represent a student’s progress through their time at the university.

The University's obligations to the UKBA as a licenced sponsor of students entering the UK to study, have a major impact on the student-on-programme stage of the student life cycle, especially around ensuring that students are participating in study as expected. Registry Services provides advice and guidance on all aspects of the University's relationship with the UKBA.

Curriculum

The Curriculum and Timetabling Team maintains the university’s curriculum information in the Banner Student Records System, working with Faculty Curriculum and QA teams to ensure that the information is as accurate and up to date as possible. Within the university, staff can use the Online Programme Catalogue to see the curriculum data held in the system.

Option Choice for Students

Information for students to support option choice through the Student Records System Self Service pages. These pages provide details of open periods, where to find module information across the University, and how to check whether a module will fit into your individual timetable.

Students select their option choices through the Student Records System Self Service pages. The SAA Hub provides information about the system and the processes to support students and staff in managing the option choice system.
