Assessment Timetables

Overview

The assessment periods will comprise of closed book and online assessments. 

Academic year 2023/24 assessment dates:

Semester One assessment: Monday 15 January - Friday 26 January 2024 (but possibly including Saturday 20 and 27 January)

Semester Two assessment: Monday 20 May - Friday 7 June 2024 (excluding Bank Holiday Monday 27 May but possibly including Saturday 25 May and 1 June)

Supplementary assessment: Monday 19 August - Friday 30 August (excluding Bank Holiday Monday 26 August but possibly including Saturday 24 August)

Generic timetable - Semester Two assessments 2024

The timetable showing dates and times for the semester two assessment period (due to run from Monday 20 May - Friday 7 June 2024 (excluding Bank Holiday Monday 27 May but possibly including Saturday 25 May and 1 June), will be published under 'Useful downloads' at the bottom of this page by no later than 1700 on Monday 22 April 2024. 

The timetable remains subject to change due to 'exceptional circumstances' so please keep an eye on this webpage until your individual timetable is published.

Individual assessment timetables : Semester Two assessments 2024

Your individual timetable will be available by no later than 1700 on Monday 29 April 2024, it can be accessed via your SUSSED account by clicking on the ‘Exam Timetable’ icon or via the My Southampton app.

Your individual timetable shows a definitive time/date. If your assessment is in person you will also see the location and seat number. Please use the seating plans which can be found at the bottom of this page to determine your exact location. If you have a missing assessment or have been scheduled for the wrong assessment, please  contact us  by email exams@soton.ac.uk or phone 0044 (0) 23 8059 2823 so we can help you.

Important notice:

If assessments need to be cancelled due to extraordinary circumstances (e.g. inclement weather, sudden loss of venues), they may need to be  rescheduled at short notice to an alternative term time date.  If you plan to leave the University during term time, you risk being unable to attend your assessment. This may affect your academic progress.
