How To Check Your Timetable

Entrants and Students Repeating their Year of Study

We would recommend when choosing your optional modules, you consult the module timetables to ensure your choice fits in with the timetable for your compulsory modules.

If you make changes after the start of the semester, it is your responsibility to check that the lectures for the module you wish to study fit with your timetable.

Most modules are taught over one semester although a small number may be taught across both semesters. Standard University lecture slots start on the hour and last for 45 minutes. The first lecture period starts at 0900 and the final lecture period of the day starts at 1700. You should be in the lecture room ready for the lecture to commence by the start time.

A module can be timetabled anywhere between 0900 and 1800 Monday to Friday during term time. A limited number of modules may be scheduled during the evening.

How to access individual timetables

2.Click on the link to Your Teaching Timetable.

3.Select to view your timetable in either Grid or List format and select Semester 1 to see the full semester.

How to check when a module is taught

Log into www.sussed.soton.ac.uk

Click on the link to Your Teaching Timetable which is in the SRO Quick Links on the left hand side of the page.

1.Click on the Module Timetables link.

2.Select the relevant subject area from the drop down list then select an individual module. Click on the relevant viewing option to display the module in either a grid or list timetable. When checking the timetable, please focus on when the lectures are scheduled. If your module has a number of tutorial groups you will be allocated to a group which avoids clashes with your lectures so there is no need to check this level of detail.
