Messaging Today’s Students
£9,620 allocated. Project to be delivered during 2011/12
The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences is the largest faculty in the University and is split across 4 sites on the Highfield Campus. Consequently it is easy for students to lose a sense of belonging to a larger group.
The Student Centredness Fund has agreed to support the purchase of a set of plasma screens for the Faculty’s sites, that will enable the Faculty to provide information to its students, provide feedback on student comments, showcase research activities and advertise career events and opportunities.
The screens should improve upon the current set up (noticeboards and email notifications) and allows the Faculty to trial OneLAN which enables information to be displayed in a timetabled sequence that is sensitive to the scheduling of events advertised and allows video clips to be presented. The screens will be located at building entrances and will be installed during 2011/12.
