Make a bigger difference. Join the Hartley Circle
Making a gift to the Hartley Circle is your opportunity to make an even bigger difference.
It started with a gift.
The Hartley Circle is named after Henry Robinson Hartley, the University’s first benefactor. Hartley’s original gift, over a century and a half ago, started a tradition of philanthropic support across the generations, which has enabled Southampton to become a leading institution of international standing.
We established the Hartley Circle to recognise and thank our supporters who give £1,000 or more to the University every year. While every gift makes a difference, we particularly value the level of ongoing commitment made by our Hartley Circle members, whose dedicated support will ensure the University continues to advance in the challenging years which lie ahead.
Our Hartley Circle members are a mix of alumni and interested individuals who share one passion: to see our students, our academics and our researchers, thrive. They have all made an investment in the future of higher education and the continued success of the University of Southampton. Will you join them?
Imagine what you could start.
As a member of the Hartley Circle, you can help us to provide life-changing opportunities for our students and realise our ambitions to change the world for the better through research, innovation and enterprise.
We have identified five areas which are particularly crucial to the University’s development, and in which your gift can make a real difference.
Start now. Join the Hartley Circle.
If you want to help shape the future of one of the UK’s leading universities, and encourage others to do so too, please consider making a pledge to give £1,000 or more each year to the University of Southampton. By joining the Hartley Circle you become part of the University’s story and encourage others to play their part alongside you. We will recognise your support at an annual event for all Hartley Circle members and keep you informed about the difference your gift is making.
If you would like to discuss your gift please contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 023 8059 9077.
