TEAtime lecture series

Humanities and Social Science TEAtime

The TEAtime Humanities and Social Sciences strand is an exciting and innovative way for 6th form and college students to engage with current research at the University of Southampton.

We offer a series of free events and online resources aimed at inspiring students and resourcing teachers.

Events

The 2014/15 TEAtime Humanities and Social Sciences strand will cover the following four topics:

- Anarchy and Revolution
- Social Change
- The Holocaust
- Power and Control

Within each topic a range of workshops and lectures connected students with current University research in a thoughtful and interactive way. For further information about these events and the researchers involved visit the TEAtime Events page.

Online Resources:

You can watch and listen to past TEAtime lectures by selecting subjects from the left-hand menu. Further lectures will be added after each TEAtime event and we encourage teachers to use these resources to enhance and support their teaching.

I learnt how paintings can reflect feelings

Our students have got so much from the lectures and workshops. They have encouraged students to explore research and given students valuable insight into university. Students have been known to return from to school and ask our librarian for books referenced in the lectures. We have found them extremely motivational
