The University is well connected by public transport services, with bus routes between all of our campuses and direct links to railway stations.
Discounted bus tickets for Uni-link services are available to all University staff and students.
We run the award winning Uni-link bus service. Details of our routes and timetable are available on the Uni-link website, which also includes details for social media connections. Printed copies of the Uni-link timetable are available in various buildings across our campuses, including the Uni-link Office (located above the Students Union Shop on the Highfield Campus).

Shirley to Highfield - about 45 minutes (Bluestar 18 connecting with U1A at Civic Centre)
Highfield to SGH - about 20 minutes (U6C)
Highfield to NOCS - about 30 minutes (U1A)
Winchester to Highfield - about 50 minutes (Bluestar 1 plus a walk from the Avenue)
Winchester to Southampton city centre - about 50 minutes (Bluestar 1)
Southampton Parkway to Highfield - about 15 minutes (U1C)
Uni-link tickets can also be used on any Bluestar bus within the Southampton zone.

National Express run services via the Highfield Interchange, calling at the Southampton Bus Station, Winchester Bus Station and London airports.
Southampton and Winchester are well served by mainline railway stations - Southampton Central and Southampton Airport Parkway and Winchester.
The Uni-link U1 bus services connect our campus locations with Southampton Airport Parkway and Southampton Central stations, whilst the Winchester campus is a 15 minute walk from the train station.
CrossCountry trains run direct trains to Southampton and are available throughout Britain with discounted tickets available when you book online in advance.

Swaythling and St Denys stations are approximately a 20 minute walk from the Highfield campus. The University is a member of the Three Rivers Rail Partnership which seeks to develop the use of local stations.
Red Funnel provides regular ferry connections between Southampton and the Isle of Wight. Bus connections are available at each end of the journey (operated by Southern Vectis on the Island, and by Uni-link or Bluestar on the mainland).
The Hythe Ferry provides regular connections between Southampton and Hythe.
