Our UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Team delivers a variety of activities throughout the year for young people from local schools and colleges. These events aim to show young people what Higher Education is like and encourage them to consider it as an option for themselves.
We are always looking for enthusiastic, friendly students to support these activities. Student Ambassadors are current University students who work with young people to help raise their aspirations, giving them the knowledge they need to make informed choices about Higher Education. Ambassadors’ work is varied – they may be asked to staff a stand at a careers fair, give a presentation at a school assembly or show groups around the campus. We also recruit students to work as mentors at residential events.
Being a Student Ambassador is very rewarding. Not only does it develop your communication and teamwork skills, it also increases your employability and gives you the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. Ambassadors are paid an hourly rate for their work.
