Train

We recommend coming to Southampton by train if at all possible. Visitors from London, the North, and air travellers should alight at Southampton Airport Parkway station. Visitors from the South Coast, South East, and South West should alight at Southampton Central Station.

Getting to the campuses from Southampton Airport Parkway Station
From Southampton Airport Parkway Station (for rail travellers from London and the north and for air travellers) go to the bus stop on the airport side of the station, near the footbridge, and take an Open Day shuttle bus to the University's Highfield Interchange. Student Ambassadors (wearing green T-shirts) will be on hand to direct you. Please allow 20 minutes' transfer time.

For Avenue Campus, change at Highfield Interchange onto an Open Day shuttle bus or walk. Student ambassadors (wearing green T-shirts) will be on hand to direct you. Please allow an extra 15 minutes (via bus or walking) for the trip to Avenue Campus.

For the Waterfront Campus (National Oceanography Centre Southampton), take an Open Day shuttle bus from outside the Jubilee Sports Centre (Building 18).
