This application is for students that would like accommodation over the summer or over their exam period as well as current students reapplying for halls. New students to the University that begin their studies in September 2017 should use the 2017/18 application form instead.
Depending on your situation you may be able to apply for accommodation in our halls of residence for this year. Read our guidance below to find out if you are eligible.
Applications for accommodation from all students are welcome throughout the year, although please note we have limited availability and may not be able to make a suitable offer. You will need to have a student ID before you can apply.
If you have an academic reason to require halls earlier than the contract start date, please apply below. We may contact you and your Faculty for confirmation.
We are now accepting requests to extend accommodation contracts for 2016-17, including Easter accommodation requests for residents on 36 week contracts. Students currently in halls who wish to extend their contracts should apply using the link below.
Please note, it is not possible for us to extend contracts further than 16 September 2017. If you need accommodation after this date, you may be able to find a place to stay in a local hotel. We have a list of local guest houses available.
Visiting staff and postgraduate researchers who do not have 8-digit student IDs are welcome to apply for a place in student halls using the link below. We have a limited amount of accommodation that is suitable for staff, and any offer made will be the best available for the dates and accommodation type selected. A prepayment of 10% will be required to secure the booking.
If you are a student and do not yet have your student ID number, you need to contact your faculty.
