Entry requirements

This information is for general guidance only; entry requirements vary for different courses. For more specific details, please visit the relevant course web page or contact the admissions office for your chosen subject area.

Foundation year entry requirements 

International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) An overall grade of 17 out of 20
Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science and geophysics) An overall grade of 18 out of 20 with 15 in maths and physics
Science Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry and other science-related courses) An overall grade of 18 out of 20 with 15 in maths and physics

Please note that this course does not progress to an undergraduate degree in medicine. 

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

UK A levels with grades from BBB to A*AA 
International Baccalaureate (IB) with grades from 30 to 38 

Minimum overall Apolyterion grade of 17.5 – 18.5 with 15-17.5 in Pan Hellenic required subject OR Minimum overall Apolyterion grade of 17.5 – 18.5 with two A-Levels BB to AA (or a recognised foundation programme)

Postgraduate entry requirements

Masters programmes Bachelors degree (Ptychion) awarded by an AEI with a minimum grade of 7.0-7.5
PhD programmes Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees (Metaptychiako Diploma Eidikefsis / Metaptychiakon Spoudon Diploma) awarded by a recognised university, and a strong research proposal

English language entry requirements

The Greek student community

We are pleased to welcome students from Greece to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 177 Greek students studying with us. We also welcomed 5 Erasmus students from our Greek partner institutions.

Student-run clubs and societies

Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
