WARC was established in 2009 to provide a platform for research into alcohol within the Wessex region. WARC members and collaborators include preclinical, experimental, clinical and public health scientists with diverse research interests in the area of alcohol and alcohol misuse.
WARC mission is to:
• encourage excellence in alcohol research
• improve the links among clinical services, public health, primary care, government agencies, policy makers and researchers in the field
• encourage the involvement of lay experts in formulating the research agenda
