Luxury South Round Table

On 22nd September the Winchester Luxury Research Group (WLRG) hosted a Luxury South Round Table in association with Business South at Winchester School of Art.

The event brought together WLRG members and senior executives from luxury companies as varied as Maserati cars, Sunseeker International yachts, Burrells jewellers and Hattingley Valley Wines. It provided an opportunity to introduce luxury companies to the research projects pursued by members of the WLRG and to explore the challenges and opportunities for luxury businesses in the South. According to Professor Joanne Roberts, Director of WLRG, “The Luxury South Round Table provided and excellent opportunity for WLRG to engage with regional luxury companies in a meaningful way. As well providing the initial step in a collaborative venture with Business South focused on luxury, this event offered fruitful opportunities for the development of research and teaching partnerships concerning luxury, art and design.”
