Head of WSA, Ed D’Souza, comments, “WSA is always a vibrant hub of creative ideas throughout the year, but the Degree Show, together with our London shows, give us the chance to share the exciting, creative and challenging work produced by our excellent students.

“The show is an important opportunity to demonstrate to the public and industry how we nurture and develop young talent and give them the potential to become stars of the future.”

Among the huge number of works at the Winchester Degree Show 2015 are striking sculptures, huge paintings, intricate montage designs and immersive multi-media installations. This year, the Winchester show has a particular focus on Fine Art and Graphic Arts – complementing WSA shows in London, which also highlight Fashion and Textile Design.

Visitors can see hundreds of exhibits, including: a large, captivating installation space combining sculpture with projection to create a mesmerising experience; small and perfectly formed Perspex cubes encasing miniature designs made from wire; unusual, striking head garments crafted from cloth and feathers; and a giant, colourful canvas print featuring different elements of the city of Winchester. In addition, people can take time out to view a video of the highly successful 2015 BA Fashion and Textiles Graduate Show held at The Yard in Shoreditch at the end of May, which came hot on the heels of the glitzy Winchester based fashion show.

As well as exhibiting at the Winchester Degree Show, students will also take their work to London to the Bargehouse exhibition space in Oxo Tower Wharf (10-12 July, opening 11am to 6pm). Work from Fine Art, Graphic Arts, Fashion and Textile Design, and Fashion Marketing and Management will all be on display.

The Winchester Degree Show 2015 is free and opens at Park Avenue, Winchester on Thursday 18 June, running until Sunday 21 June – 10am til 8pm weekdays and 11am til 4pm at the weekend. Visitors are very welcome to come and take a look around. There will be a private view on the evening of Wednesday 17 June 2015.
