I will discuss the current state of an effort to simulate binary black hole systems using a code based on a generalization of harmonic coordinates. Topics covered will include: the formulation of the equations, the structure of the corresponding numerical code, compactifying to spatial infinity and the implications for stability and waveform extraction, extending the evolution time of black hole spacetimes via constraint damping terms, and specifying slicing/coordinate conditions within the generalized harmonic framework. Early results will be presented.
