This part of the course will cover parallel programming using OpenMP. The teaching will take place in three intensive days from 29-31 March 2017.
Plan to be available from 9:00 to 17:30, precise timings will be published closer to the event.
The venue is 176L/1125 in Boldrewood.
You will need to bring a laptop to take part in the exercises.
The teaching delivery is by Mark Bull one of the UK's experts in High Performance Computing.
- Sound working knowledge of programming in either Fortran, C or C++
- Some familiarity with basic computer architecture (e.g. shared vs. distributed memory, multicore processors and caches) is recommended
