GY210 Ingleton Field Course: accommodation introduction

Ingleton is a relatively small town and thus, due to the nature of the accommodation available, all students will be required to make their own accommodation arrangements for the trip.  In previous years it has been most common for small numbers of students (4-6) to organise their accomodation as a group booking.  The following web pages provide a considerable amount of information (and contact details) for the different types of accommodation available and regularly used by us in the past.

Please note that it is often UNWISE to mention the fact that you are students or that you are associated with Southampton University (don't ask!), but if you are specifically asked this question (we always go at the same time of year - they know when!), please do inform the proprietors that you are from the University.

For safety reasons, we must know where you are staying at all times during the trip. You must not move from your stated accommodation without informing us in writing. Under no circumstances must you leave the area without informing the leader of the trip.
