GY210 Ingleton Field Course: ARC Quarry visit

We are allowed to visit the ARC Ingleton Roadstone Quarry by kind permission of the owners, ARC.  This quarry may ONLY be visited at the times scheduled on the field course itinerary.

In the quarry we will have the opportunity to examine the Silurian greywackes, and investigate the folded nature of the exposure. This quarry presents us with an important exposure of this rock unit, as it is the only place on the mapping area where the core of the fold can be seen in section.
