GY210 Ingleton Field Course: marking scheme

This field course contributes 50% of the marks towards GY210 (theremaining marks coming from the Second Year tutorial exercises).

During the week there will be two one-day excursions. For each of these you will be given an exercise to complete in the field and to hand in upon your return to the coaches. Each of these exercises will count 10% towards the final mark for the field course. You will be required to submit a written report of the mapping area (20% of marks), along with your field notebook (20%) and field slips (40%). These must be handed in at the Bridge Inn between 4.00pm and 6.00pm on Tuesday 26th June. After handing in your work you will receive your cheque and you are then free to depart.

Field Course Marks:
10%  Troller's Gill exercise
10%  Sedgwick Trail exercise
40%  Field slip
20%  Field notebook
20%  Mapping report
