Who are we?
LOpSoc is the University of Southampton Light Operatic Society.
Every year we put on at least two shows, as well as providing our members with a chance to exhibit songs through recitals within the society. We have a strong community of members who all share a great enthusiasm for the work that we do. We perform a great variety of light operettas, from well-known Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, to rarer works by such composers as Noël Coward, Franz Lehar, and Edward German. In addition, we perform original works written by students at the University.
Our Facebook group is a good place to join for news and other interesting tidbits, as well as general chatter.
