Physics & Astronomy to reflect the growth of astronomy in the university

de Astrofisica de Canarias, now running for over 25

together the undergraduate With-Astronomy

the Astronomy for Poets and Search for Life CIP courses which
frequently attract 100+ non-physics students every year

HoD for 3 years (2005-2008) and during that time was a major player in SEPnet, winning 12M pounds from HEFCE which funded a
significant expansion in the department through several new academic
appointments

25 PhD students to successful completion, several of which now have academic
positions around the world.
