Richard Gledhill

Richard Gledhill

Richard is a Chartered Accountant. Until 2013 he was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading the firm’s work on climate change, after a career advising governments and companies on transactions and strategy. 

From 2013 to 2020 he was a non-executive director of the Natural Environment Research Council, and from 2015 to 2019 he was an Independent Commissioner on Aid Impact, reporting to the UK Parliament on the effectiveness and value for money of the Government’s aid spending. 

Richard was a trustee of The Climate Group until 2021. He remains a trustee of the Earth Innovation Institute, a US-based NGO that supports sustainable development in rain forest nations. 

Richard is Chairman of Sedbergh School, a leading boarding school in the North of England.
