Rosalind Davies is Director of Programmes for the Academic Centre for International Students (ACIS), part of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Southampton.

I have a background in modern languages and more than 25 years' experience in international education, working in a range of language teaching and training, academic development, management, marketing and enterprise roles in Japan, Korea, Mexico, Nepal, Austria, Germany and in the UK.

Research interests

My current research interests include:

• Internationalization and enterprise in higher education

• English for academic purposes: communicating in the disciplines

• Endangered languages and language revitalization

I joined the University of Southampton in 2010. In my current role I direct the various English language teaching activities offered by the Academic Centre for International Students (ACIS), teach on a range of courses and advise the University on aspects of English language for international students.
