Research Group: Centre for Complex Autonomous Systems Engineering

Our major projects in autonomous systems range from design principles and optimisation through hardware, software system integration and project management. Our academic staff are internationally recognised researchers in their respective areas ranging from biologically inspired systems through computer science to engineering design.

This Centre brings together experts from various areas in response to industry needs that are multi-disciplinary. Expertise is pooled across  faculties: Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, Faculty of Physical and Applied Sciences, Institute Life Sciences and the National Oceanography Centre Southampton.  The Centre also aims to serve as a source of professional information and news around the world in the area of autonomous system technologies.
