We have established relationships with the defence sector and deploys wide expertise able to meet research needs and have been approved by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for participation in the Framework Agreement for Technical Support (FATS/4). We are accredited to supply technical services in 9 out of the 14 of the MOD's Broad Capability Areas.

MoD Centre of Excellence

Working in close collaboration with a number of shipyards, design consultants and naval architectural companies, two main areas of research are analysis of loads on damaged ships and modelling techniques for damaged and aged structure.
