Gerontology welcomes 20 new Commonwealth scholars
The Department of Gerontology is delighted to welcome 20 new scholars funded by the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission on the MSc Gerontology (DL) and MSc Global Ageing and Policy (DL) programmes. The scholars come from Pakistan, Nigeria, Zambia, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya and India. Director of Programmes, Professor Athina Vlachantoni, said: “We are excited to be welcoming 20 new scholars this year, reflecting the Commonwealth Commission’s continuing commitment to promoting capacity building, social inclusion and progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.”
