Call for Poster Abstracts- Now Open! Research on Ageing Exhibition 2013

The Ageing and Life Long Health USRG are pleased to announce a Call for Poster Abstracts for the inaugural University of Southampton Research on Ageing Exhibition 2013.

The Research on Ageing Exhibition will take place on Thursday 5th September, 12-2pm in the Observatory of Building 85. Full details regarding the exhibition programme, including details of our keynote guest speaker, will be announced shortly.

The poster abstract submission deadline is 31st July.  

We would like to call for abstracts from across all faculties, representing the newest, most pressing, and previously unreported results in aging research (under-graduate and post-graduate students, academics and external research groups) to present at this inaugural exhibition.

The benefits of presenting your poster abstract at the exhibition include: gain exposure of your research to an engaged audience of professional peers and external organisations; networking opportunities with other students and researchers; and a chance to discuss your research and build links for future collaborations.

A virtual online gallery on the Ageing USRG website will also be created to help raise the visibility of all poster submissions online!

Be a Part of the Exhibition (incl. a virtual online gallery)! The poster exhibition is organized around the ten themes of recently published Research on Ageing Brochure:

2.       Working in partnership

3.       Enjoying older age

4.       Tackling disease

5.       Enhancing wellbeing

6.       Working life

7.       Improving health in later life

8.       Promoting equality

9.       Ageing in changing times

10.   Older people in developing countries


All student, academics and external poster abstract submission relating to research on ageing are welcome!Please submit a 250 word (max) abstract, including project title, theme (as stated above) and author contact details to  

Deadline to submit abstract is 31st July. Poster details: if successful, we will require a A1 poster of your project by the 19th August and a pdf version for inclusion on our online virtual gallery.
