Collaboration linked to research in dysphagia or neuromuscular disease

Published: 1 February 2013

This is a request from a Speech and Language Therapist who is looking for some advice regarding her upcoming BIHR-funded research. Please could you pass her message on to any colleagues who might be able to offer any advice or support.

‘I am a Speech & Language Therapist working at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (Birmingham). I have a specific research interest of neuromuscular disease and dysphagia. I am currently in the process of planning a research study in this area as part of a NIHR funded Masters of research degree.
Given the specialist nature of this research field and limited evidence base I am keen to hear from other AHPs with experience or expertise in either dysphagia or neuromuscular disease. In order to enhance the quality of my current and future research I would like to establish a small network of users, including practitioners, carers and patients, who may be willing to comment on proposals or participate in the planned research.
If you would like to find out more about this opportunity please contact me on:
