The branch held a Champagne Tasting event at the Moët Hennessy offices in New York at the end of March, where they were led by one of their best Champagne experts in tasting some vintage Krug, Ruinart, Veuve Cliquot and of course lots of Moët. It was a great opportunity for attendees to network while sampling the different vintages and the event saw the greatest attendance levels yet for the newly established branch.
Both of the branches met up with International Officer Sara Higgins recently for dinner during her visit to the area for recruitment and conversion activity.
In Mexico the dinner ended with a wonderful reunion for two of the alumni in attendance. Jorge and Emile studied operational research together in 1971 and they hadn’t seen each other since they left. It was a really amazing moment when they first realised how they knew each other. Jorge’s daughter is also currently studying in Southampton for a semester as part of her degree in Mexico and is thinking about coming back for a masters in a few years.
