AMT research on surfaces and design

Professor Jussi Parikka and Dr. Jane Birkin (WSA and the Special Collections Division, University of Southampton) are presenting in the interdisciplinary conference Apparition:The (Im)materiality of Modern Surface.

The conference takes place at De Montfort University in Leicester on March 9th. Parikka is presenting a keynote on planetary surfaces from perspectives of aesthetics of fashion and globalisation and Birkin will talk about the disintegration of archival objects and 3D printing. Both Parikka and Birkin are affiliated with the Archaeologies of Media and Technology research group at WSA.
