Join us for a new AMT reading group. We will meet weekly at WSA during term-time to read media, science and technology books, in 3-4 sessions per book. Staff and postgraduate students are welcome from departments across the University. We seek interdisciplinary conversations and an inclusive space to discuss theory.

We will start in May with Karen Barad’s Meeting the Universe Halfway: Quantum Physics and the Entanglement of Matter and Meaning (Durham: Duke University Press, 2007.

In June and July we will aim to continue with N. Katherine Hayles, Unthought: The Power of the Cognitive Nonconscious (Chicago ; London: University of Chicago Press, 2017) and Luciana Parisi, Contagious Architecture: Computation, Aesthetics, and Space (Cambridge, Massachusetts l London, England: MIT Press, 2013).
