ANTC has access to aerodynamic and measurement equipment.
Particle Image Velocimetry
TSI system
-
Laser system consists of two Gemini Nd:YAG1 lasers by New Wave Research that are capable of running at 15 Hz double-pulse repetition rate, emitting 120MJ pulses at 532 nm light wavelength.
-
Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) records the two images
-
View field of 2048 pixels x 2048 pixels can be obtained.
-
Software is Inisght 4G.
LaVision's high-frequency 2D Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system
-
System is controlled using LaVision's DaVis Imaging Software.
-
Field view 1024 × 1024 pixel device.
Hotwire Anemometry
-
Two hotwire systems are available: AN-1005 Hot-Wire Anemometry and Newcastle NSW bridge.
-
The hotwire can be mounted on a Dantec 6mm diameter 55H24 probe support or the supports.
-
Analogue signals (both from the hot-wire and the pitot-static tubes) were digitised using a National Instruments USB-9162 Analog - Digital Converter and recorded by the EnFlo software
-
Enflo software is used for simultaneously controlling, calibrating and recording all the wind tunnel's devices and instrumentation.
Microphones
-
GRAS 46AE and 46BE fee-field microphones
-
GRAS 47BX Flush mounted microphones
Phased microphone arrays
-
ANTC has a number of phased microphone arrays including 112 and 77 channel arrays.
Pressure
-
Two scanivalve ZOC33-64 (10mmH2O) pressure scanners
Data acquisition
-
dSPACE DS1104 system
-
dSPACE DS1006 system with modular I/O
