Archaeology leads the field for student satisfaction

Archaeology at Southampton is celebrating a very strong set of results in this year’s National Student Survey (NSS), ranking the department first for overall student satisfaction out of all higher education institutes in the country.

The survey determined that 100% of Archaeology students were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of their course.

Other highlights from the survey include:

• 98% of students were satisfied or very satisfied with the teaching of their course
• We rank 1st for assessment and feedback out of all higher education institutes
• 94% of students were satisfied or very satisfied with the academic support they received
• We rank 1st for organisation and management out of all higher education institutes          
• 99% of students were satisfied or very satisfied with the learning resources available to them (NSS 2017)
