Research project: Television, the media and computer reconstruction

Currently Active:

This project considers the use of three-dimensional computer modelling technologies in archaeological documentaries and other media productions.

Current and previous applications of animated and rendered still imagery as constructions of archaeological pasts are considered, in addition to discussions both with those engaged in producing models and those commissioning them.

An earlier phase of the research was presented in part at the Envisioning the Past conference.
