MS 351/4  Private letters from Constantine Henry Phipps, first Marquis of Normanby, British ambassador to Paris, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston, written in the wake of the revolutions in Europe, Jul-Aug 1848, and concerning mediation in the affairs of Italy.

This material fills a gap in the sequence MS 62 Broadlands Archives PP/GC/NO/92-243 of Lord Normanby’s correspondence with Palmerston.
