British Association for Lung Research Meeting: Southampton July 11th-13th, 2012
The meeting will be hosted by the British Association for Lung Research at the University of Southampton.
The theme is "Infections as initiators and exacerbators of chronic lung disease". This will be an international forum for the presentation and discussion of the role of respiratory infections in chronic lung diseases such as asthma, COPD and cystic fibrosis and on new therapies for targeting such infections. It will be held in an environment that will facilitate interaction between researchers in this increasingly important field.
This is the 19 th Annual Summer Meeting of the BALR and the 30 th anniversary year of the Association. For more details about the BALR please see the website:

This year’s meeting will be held at the University of Southampton Highfield campus. The presentation sessions will be held in the Arts Annexe of the Nuffield Theatre (6) whilst the registration desk, poster session and exhibition area will be based a short walk away in the Hartley Suite of the Staff Social Centre (38). Both of these areas will be clearly signposted.
