On 29-30 November 2017, Jakub Bijak took part in the Quetelet Conference (Chaire Quetelet) 2017, devoted to "The demography of refugees and displaced populations", held at the Center for Demographic Research – DEMO, Université catholique de Louvain, in Louvaine-la-Neuve (Belgium). Jakub presented two papers from the work linked to the project: "Modelling asylum-related migration: survey of data and methods" (with Jon Forster and Jason Hilton), and "Dispersal and deprivation of asylum seekers in the UK: how much can the data tell us?" (with Sarah Nurse).
