The BATHE study is run by a large team of researchers at the University of Southampton, Bristol University and Cardiff University. Some of the main team members are listed below but several other staff are involved at each of the centres.
Maria Chorozoglou is a Health Economist at the University of Southampton. Maria’s research interests are health technology assessment and economic evaluation of early life interventions. She is particularly interested in measuring quality of life in young children.
Nick Francis is a GP and Reader at Cardiff University. Nick has a particular interest in infections in primary care and research into skin conditions.
Paul Little is a Professor of Primary Care Research at the University of Southampton. He has extensive experience in carrying out successful trials in a range of common conditions in primary care.
Kate Martinson is a trials manager at the University of Southampton, and has been involved in running many successful trials, particularly investigating treatments into common childhood conditions.
Matthew Ridd is a GP and NIHR Clinical Lecturer at the University of Bristol. He chairs the SAPC Dermatology Research specialist interest group and was a member of the Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology / James Lind Alliance eczema research prioritisation exercise steering group and is carrying out a portfolio of research into childhood eczema.
Miriam Santer is a GP and researcher at the University of Southampton with a particular interest in childhood eczema and support for self care.
Beth Stuart is a Medical Statistician at the University of Southampton and has worked on several large pragmatic trials in primary care.
Emma Thomas-Jones is a senior trials manager at South East Wales Trials Unit.
Wendy Wood is a senior trials manager at the University of Southampton Clinical Trials Unit.
