The BATHE trial has been funded by the NIHR HTA programme to determine the clinical and cost-effectiveness of adding bath emollient to the standard management of atopic eczema in children.
BATHE is a pragmatic two-armed non-blinded randomised controlled trial recruiting from three centres in Southampton, Cardiff and Bristol with support from the Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology in Nottingham. We plan to recruit 423 children in primary care aged from one to 11.
