Beyond the Gene: Epigenetic Science in 21st Century Culture, Workshop 1
A workshop took place on 15 June 2012 at the Institute of Developmental Sciences, Southampton
This workshop gathered together participants working in epigenetics, medicine, the history and philosophy of science, public understanding of science, literary studies, and creative writing. It examined how epigenetic thinking is unravelling the dominant gene/environment, nature/nurture dichotomy which has structured research across the biological sciences and the humanities during the 20th century.
