The University of Southampton
Bioinformatics Core Facility

The Bioinformatics Core provides data analysis services for high throughput measurements such as transcriptomic, proteomic and epigenomic data sets.

It is now common place to generate vast datasets using high throughput technologies and due to the size of such datasets specialist personnel (Bioinformaticians) are required to analyse these correctly. The University of Southampton's Bioinformatics Core has experience in analysing many different types of large omics and other types of datasets (e.g. Microarray, RNA-Seq, Chip-Seq, Proteomics and EWAS) as well as applying many data analysis techniques such as machine learning, hierarchical clustering and principal component analysis to name a few.
