Southampton Athena SWAN success signals new beginning for gender equality
Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton have been recognised in a national scheme to improve career prospects for female students and academics. The department has achieved a Silver Award in the Athena SWAN scheme that recognises good practices in higher education in recruiting, retaining and promoting women in science, technology and maths and is now working towards gaining gold.
