Graduates celebrate their success in Biological Sciences
Many years of hard work at the University of Southampton were celebrated at the Biological Sciences summer graduation ceremonies. Friends, families and many lecturers toasted the graduates’ success and prizes were awarded for outstanding achievement in final year studies.
Isabel Morgan, who graduated in BSc Biology, is planning a career as a dietician. She says: “For my degree, I studied everything from plant biology to animal development and neuroscience, it’s been incredibly broad which I really liked. The last three years have been tough but it’s been a lot of fun as well.”
BSc Biomedical Sciences graduate Charles Dunlop is going on to take a PhD with the Cancer Research UK Institute at Cambridge. “My degree included a placement at Astra Zeneca, I’m glad that Southampton offered me the chance to do that. Throughout, the teaching here has been of a very high standard, he says.”
