Dr Judith Lock awarded HEA Senior Fellowship

We are pleased to announce that Dr Judith Lock, Senior Teaching Fellow in Ecology and Evolution, has been awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

To become an HEA Senior Fellow, an academic must show a “proven, sustained track record in Higher Education teaching and management“. Judith now joins over 100,000 HEA fellows, and just over 8,000 Senior Fellows within 88 institutions around the globe.

Judith Lock has been teaching at the University of Southampton since 2010, where she continues to provide research in behavioural ecology, conservation biology and their interface, and is currently leading the University’s MRes Wildlife Conservation project with Marwell Wildlife with a view to reintroduce sand lizards to a site in North Hampshire.

Professor Keith Jones, Head of Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton, said “I am deeply proud of Judith’s achievement in gaining a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
