Antimicrobial Copper for Infection Control Workshop
This workshop is an opportunity to hear Professor Bill Keevil present his latest research into the antimicrobial properties of copper and its alloys. Copper touch surfaces rapidly kill not only bacteria and fungi, but also viruses such as influenza, and Professor Keevil's current research highlights their lethal effect against norovirus.
There will also be a presentation on the practicalities of implementing antimicrobial copper touch surfaces for infection control in the healthcare environment and beyond, in spaces including cruise ships, schools, hotels and restaurants. There will be opportunities to discuss deployment of antimicrobial copper in specific environments and to see a range of sample materials and products
