The Wessex Biotech Initiative (WBI) is a student-led organisation set up with the aim of promoting interaction between students and their local biotech industry, initially, in and around Southampton.
The event will start with an introductory talk by the Co-founders of WBI, followed by an inspiring talk by our guest speaker Karl Simpson before taking part in a 'Speed Networking' session; where the aim is to get as many students and early-career researchers as possible talking with as many industry representatives as possible, about ideas for projects and/or careers. The event will finish with a drinks reception, where we welcome all participants to join with us in toasting the start of our new and exciting venture.
