Event details
This talk is part of the Centre for Biological Sciences Invited Speaker Series. Open to all.
Tropical regions are highly diverse but the biodiversity they support is threatened by human activities, including loss of rainforest and climate change. On Borneo, rainforests are being replaced by oil palm plantations, isolating many patches of remaining forest within inhospitable agricultural landscapes. I will discuss our work on Borneo that is focussing on ways to reduce biodiversity losses and methods for developing more sustainable landscapes.
